Helping you to deal with life's challenges and uncertainties

About Me...

I work in private practice as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist and Clinical Hypnotherapist from my private rooms located in my home close to Bishops Stortford, Great Dunmow and Stansted Airport, as well as working as a therapist for Anxiety UK. I am a member of the National Counselling Society and MBACP.   I hold an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Practice, a Certificate in Child Counselling and I am a qualified and accredited Hypnotherapist.

Making a difference to the lives of others is important to me. I am warm, caring and compassionate, and genuinely enjoy supporting others, especially seeing the improvements my clients make in their lives as a result of therapy.

I am an Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist, which means that I am able to work from a number of different theoretical frameworks and adapt my skills and training to your individual needs. I can work with you on either a short term or long term basis, supporting you to make changes to your current life or work through past pain.

I believe that we are all capable of living life to the fullest, but sometimes life presents us with difficult situations leading to confusion, anxiety and unhappiness. I will work with you to help you to understand your thoughts and emotions, explore your options and find new ways to cope so you feel more positive about the future.

What is Counselling?

Counselling sessions provide a safe and confidential space to explore your difficulties and challenges. Working together will help to identify new perspectives and gain a greater understanding which will help formulate a strategy for making your life better. The answer is in all of us, counselling can help you find it.

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy may be used as as a single therapy to treat many issues including weight loss, quitting smoking, fears, phobias, insomnia, controlling pain and to help improve self-esteem, confidence and motivation. Hypnotherapy can also be used alongside counselling and is effective in treating a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, abuse, anger management, bereavement, illnesses and disabilities.

“Courage doesn’t happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life.”
